About Me
Throughout the last few years, I’ve been working as a freelance focus puller and camera operator. During the week, I work as Assistant Manager at a camera rental house, where I prioritize the client experience. In my role, I’ve learned to streamline my camera builds, found tweaks to optimize my workflow in the field, honed my technical knowledge about specific lens sets, and have supported my local peers. Prior to freelancing, I studied at George Mason University, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in December 2023.
Bringing my expertise, I’m always eager to step-in on set as a problem solver when things unexpectedly go wrong, and have been thanked for saving the day more often than I can recount. While I enjoy the challenge of a fast-moving commercial set, I’m also happy to work on more long-form projects, whether narrative film or more corporate style shoots. I’m excited to bring your ideas to fruition, whether that means using cutting-edge cinema equipment and legendary precision optics, or more economical yet still impressive gear.
Outside of film, I enjoy struggling at chess, playing soccer, cooking while listening to music, and broadening my knowledge of history. Places I’ve traveled include Israel, Yemen, Egypt, Turkey, the United Kingdom, Norway, and most recently, Japan. Film theory and criticism is something that engages with my interest in anthropology, and one of my aspirations is to empower and inspire the sharing of less widely circulated regional folktales to a wide audience.
